Cold Process Soap Bases

Pre-shredded and unscented, SunFeather's cold process soap base is easy to use and ready for you to add your favorite scents and botanicals!

Rebatching is a great way to create your own soap bars without having to handle lye. We suggest that you add 1/4 cup of water for 4 cup of soap flakes. This will make the flakes the consistency of a thick dough and can be pressed into molds.

You could substitute herbal teas or floral waters for the plain water. Heat mixture slowly using a double boiler. You could also use your microwave - heating in 30 second increments. Be careful not to burn it. Gently stir your soap and water mixture. You don't want to create lather. Once your soap mixture is smooth you can add in your favorite colors, scents, and botanicals. Pour into your molds and allow the soap to harden.
